Deidre
Founder
Deidre is the Owner of Complex Gardens. Originally from Zimbabwe, She began Complex Gardens as a garden maintenance company, before gaining her formal qualification from Lifestyle College. She was mentored by Terry Moller, author of The Garden Recipe Book and one of South Africa’s garden landscaping pioneers. Deidre and her team have competed against internationally recognized designers. She has exhibited alongside South Africa’s Chelsea show garden. Her extensive knowledge of trees and plants ensure long lasting well designed gardens. Deidre has travelled to the UK, Europe, Australia as well as parts of Asia, drawing inspiration from different cultures, styles and environments in the pursuit of creating gardens that are the perfect haven for her clients.
Dominique
Partner
Dominique grew up in “everyone else’s gardens as a daughter of two landscapers. Dominique competed in Garden World's show garden throughout high school against AgriSETA, UNISA and Tshwane Technicon, as well as exhibiting at Morningside Shopping Centre . After gaining her qualification in landscaping, Dominique went on to study interior decorating and design. Dominique's inspiration is “harmony”. Her designs focus on harmonizing both the architecture and landscape - she believes in the garden being an extension of the clients existing environment and their personality.

Not only do we have a passion for gardens, we are intrigued by the individuality of people.
We combine these ideals with an intimate knowledge of the environment and an appreciation for art and architecture to create gardens of extraordinary character with a sense of place.
We believe that a garden needs to be harmonious with nature whilst being individualised to the client whilst observing a few basic principles
